EVALUATION STANDARDS FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

This article deals with new established educational standards for Physical education. Background pedagogical theory it analysed necessity as well as difficulties at verification of knowledges, skills, attitudes and values in Physical education at absolvents of primary schools.

Examples of outputs, indicators and concrete tasks in 4 basic areas in P.E. standards are stated: activities influenced health, activities influenced motor skills, activities supported motor learning and health physical education. Conclusion calls attention to the situation when some of the expected outputs of the branch of Physical Education included in the Framework Educational Programme are very difficult to monitor, evaluate, check and standardize.

The knowledge of PE standards helps each teacher to understand the basic objectives, reveal the reserves in their own work and enhance the quality of the teaching process.
