Coulometric detector based on carbon felt

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2017

Abstract

Carbon felt was used as the working material in a simple high-conversion electrochemical detector. Influence of the main parameters on the detection was tested using flow injection analysis with standard redox systems.

Convenient properties of the detector include high conversion rate, sufficient repeatability of both injection and carbon felt replacement, and linear concentration dependences. Practical applicability of the newly developed detector was verified by the development of methods for HPLC determination of four synthetic phenolic antioxidants in edible oil sample.
