Conversation and Exemplum in Jesuit modus catechizandi : Some Notes to Bridels "Křesťanské učení veršemi vyložené"

Abstract

The article produces narratived forms of jesuit catechism teaching, which were developed and used by jesuits during the first century of their existence, and first of all, it focuses to the Bridel's catechism in verses "Křesťanské učení veršemi vyložené". We analyse especially Bridel's interpretation of catholic doctrine by means of so-called explicative dialogue and his ways of using exemplum.
