How Václav Havel was elected for President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in 1989

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to outline the foregoing events of presidential election in Czechoslovakia in 1989. The work is focused on the official political meetings as well as on the social circumstances and potential threats on the way to reestablish democracy in Czechoslovakia.
