Abstract
General introduction into the nature of the Coptic codices (e.g. their content, literary genres, language, authorship, dating) found 1945 near the Egyptian provincial town Nag Hammadi and a detailed description of Nag Hammadi Codex II (binding, palaeography, dating etc..).
