Abstract
The text follows the trace of the mother in Paul Celan's poetry and Art Spiegelman's independent comic. Following this trace not only in the explicit representations of the subject, but also in the deeper structures of the works, the text tries to outline, how psychoanalytic diagnostic findings can contribute to a theorie of literary representation of traumata.
