Abstract
The chapter presents the results of the analysis of undergraduate and postgraduate training for workers providing pre-school education and care in the Czech Republic. The chapter provides a complete overview of qualification opportunities for individual types of job positions in institutions providing preschool education and care in the Czech Republic.
Data are based on the content analysis of educational programs, statistics and interviews with experts working in the field of vocational training in ECEC. The text summarizes current development trends in the training of teachers in pre-school education and care institutions (ISCED 01 and 02) and points out the challenges of the current system of education and training of teachers.
