Abstract
Traces the social history of the cultural underground in New York, Berlin and Prague, from the late 1970s until the near present, examining the work of key artists, writers, filmmakers and musicians, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, David Wojnarowicz, Lydia Lunch, Wim Wenders, Nick Cave, Ivan Martin Jirous and Václav Havel.
