Abstract

The chapter considers transformation of the goals of contemporary heritage education using an international perspective. German and Canadian concepts of historical thinking as well as literacy are analysed in order to identify innovative opportunities for the history teaching in the Czech Republic.

The chapter opens up the theoretical introduction to the e-publication that summarizes then the development and testing of a digital learning application for the work with historical sources.
