Abstrakt
This lecture deals with Rilke's early years in Prague, his family background and his contacts among Czech literary authors. The main part of the lecture focuses on the lyrical beginnings of the author that were greatly influenced by the musicality of the Czech language to which he listened but which he did not understand sufficiently.
