Individualization of punishment in the Czech Republic: How do we fix sanctions and what do we know about it?

Abstract

It is very difficult to discuss the individualization of sanctions in the Czech Republic. There are only very few information about the practice of fixing sanctions.

The theory of individualization is heavily under-researched as well. This article thus discusses researches that have been conducted so far, defines areas that need to be researched and suggests procedural measures that might improve current situation of imposing sanctions in the Czech Republic.
