However preventive cardiology made a big progress since its begining (i.e. since the 50th of the 20th century), many problems remain to be solved. Some physician inertia to the Guidelines on cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention represents the bigest problem among them, insufficient communication between patient and physician and also patient nonadherence and nonpersistance to the recommendations and drug therapy.
Polypills seem to be a new strategy for the adherence improvement, i.e. fixed combination of the most important drugs for CVD prevention. New risk factors and new medicaments have to look for to be further reduce the CVD risk.
