An antipsychotic drug chlorpromazine hydrochloride (CPH) was investigated using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DPAdSV) at a large-surface carbon film electrode. Under the optimal conditions found, CPH was determined in buffered aqueous solutions in the concentration ranges from 0.1 to 100 μmol L(-1) by DPV and from 0.01 to 1 μmol L(-1) by DPAdSV.

Furthermore, the applicability of the newly developed DPV and DPAdSV methods was verified on model samples of drinking and river water.
