Abstract
The collection of 54 pastoral letters from period 1918 to 1945 provides an interesting insight into the situation in Czehoslovakia of the first half of 20th century. It is a valuable insight into the political, economic, social and religious situation in a very turbulent period - the time between foundation of independent Czechoslovak Republic in 1918 until Munich conference at the end of 1930s, extending into the period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (1939-1945).
