The presented monograph Church, Tradition, Reformation of the Church historian Tomáš Petráček addresses the importance of the Second Vatican Council in 1962-1965. It analyzes, describes and reflects its assumptions, course and consequences in the ecclesial context of the 20th century.
Even though the word "link" appears in its subtitle, more attention is devoted to the eve and conditions of the assembly of 2,500 Catholic bishops at the 21st General Ecumenical Council in Rome.
