Abstract

A short review of Sophie Pointurier book about theories and practice of public service interpreting. The theories of Danica Seleskovich and Daniel Gile are explained and the author apply them in different settings and situations (medical, educational and judicial contexts).

She analyse the role of sign language interpreter and community interpreting in France.
