Abstract
Te article offers a critical response to Marek Vácha's Tváří v tvář Zemi (Face to Face with Earth) and, partly, also to Pope Francis' Encyclical Laudato siʼ. Author focuses mainly on two topics - the concept of nature and the attitudes of humans towards animals.
