Abstract

Arthrodesis after failed total ankle replacement is complicated. After removal ankle prothesis we can see large bone defect.

We can use bone graft, which can be complicated delayed union or nonunion. Shortening of the leg is almost inevitable after ankle fusion and may be a problem.

We performed ankle fusion using Trabecular metal spacer (Zimmer).
