Differentiation approaches to employement on the labor market with Generation X and Y

Abstract

In the last ten years there have been gradual changes in the area of higher education, not only with the beginning of the so-called fourth Industrial Revolution but also with the generational change with the generic names X and Y. The aim of the paper is to reflect and discuss some of these changes in the field of higher education to apply to the labor market from the point of view of Generation X (graduates and current students of combined study) and Y generation (present university students), their opinions on employability, real and potential, in relation to the required competencies, and some possible and anticipated changes in content of education in relation to the current and future labor market.

In the paper, the comparison of the results of the longitudinal survey of students and graduates of managerial, economic and technical study programs in the Czech Republic.
