The story of one unrealized project: An attempted multivoice narative reconstruction of political conflict
Abstract
The article is a report from an ethnographical research and depicts a story of a failed project of a Social Services Center in the studied locality which researchers witnessed in the course of their research. It attempts to present possibility of interpretation of the conflict and obstacles, with which the researches struggled during the preparation of the text.
Peripeteias reveal in the areas of the terminological construction of the problem, of the methodological and ethical questions, of the structure of the text, authorship and the symbolism of situation and interpretation. In the ethnography part of the article there are presented the narratives of the proponents of the conflict and their political worlds.
In the end the attempt is made to offer an practical assessment of errors made and an theory of schema based analysis of discontinuities in the cognitive background that enters narratives of rivals in the conflict.
