Abstract

A review of the monography (doctoral published dissertation) of Veerle Duflou, trainer at the University of Ghent and free-lance conference interpreter working for the European Parliament and the European Commission. She has done an ethnographical study about the work of conference interpreters, about their preparation, their collaboration in the booth and she analyses different settings and differents strategies and she is doing recommendations for novice interpreters, who are starting their professionnal live as conference interpreters.
