Development of disaster psychology in Europe: 15 years of Czech presence in the Standing Committee for Crisis, Disaster and Trauma Psychology

Abstract
In the last 30 years, we have witnessed the development of disaster psychology in the world. The development of this discipline was first inspired by those countries that had experience of large disasters.
Within the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA), this relatively new applied discipline has been organizationally established for 21 years. The Task Force on Crisis, Disaster and Trauma Psychology was established by the General Assembly in Dublin in 1997, its original name was Task Force on Crisis and Disaster Psychology.
