History of science and its contribution to a discussion about analogies between (the evolution of) species and cultures

Abstract

The article is a contribution to a discussion about analogies between (the evolution of) species and cultures which can be found both on a noetic and an ontological level. The author points out that one can in the development of human cultures find analogies to, for instance, the elastic stages of the evolution of species (Flegr), such as "disenchantment" of the world (discussion based on Max Weber's theory).
