Abstract
The chapter analyzes the life fates and, in particular, the professional career of the Czech historian and the agro-forest archivist Václav Černý. He mainly focuses on his work in the Agricultural and Forestry Archives, as a pedagogue of the Agricultural University, and follows his scientific work in the field of historical agrarianism.
