Abstract

The book represents a translation (from German) and critical edition of the manuscript memories of Jan Theobald Held (1770-1851), a proeminent Prague physician, dechant of Faculty of Medicine and rector of Charles-Ferdinand University. This exceptional rich memories contains an important documentation of Prague intellectual and cultural life in the late Enlightenment.
