Abstract

In this article, we explain one old mathematical problem - river-crossing problems. We shortly indicate mathematical methods helped their solving.

We describe the historical sources originated in European Middle Ages (the 8th century), European Renais-sance (the 15th century) and modern time (the 17th century).
