Abstrakt
The author of this article newly attributed two drawings with fantastic figural studies kept in Moravian Gallery in Brno and mythological theme kept in the museum in Orleans to the name Bartholomeus Spranger, a court painter of Emperor Rudolf II in Prague at the end of the 16th century. The attribution to Spranger was made by using the expert method and by comparison with other Spranger's figural studies.
Most of these drawings were previously considered as the work of Genoan Mannerist painter and draughtsman Luca Cambiaso or other artists from Genoan circle or his school (Lazzaro Tavarone, etc.). Therefore the author aimed to solve the question where Spranger could meet with the art of Genoan master, who could influence him.
The figurative drawings of a high quality drawn by Cambiaso were spread all over Europe and were part of newly created collections of drawings or in painters workshops during the life of Cambiaso.
