Abstract

The authors draw on possibilities and obstacles of creativity in receptive activities. On the basis of a case study, this text examines interrelations between lived experience from school practice and contemporary theoretical perspectives where creativity is understood as an essential condition for existence of humans in contemporary society.

Consideration is given to a brief history of the notion of creativity in art education and changes in curriculum that correlate with cultural and social shifts and changes in the arts of last decennia.
