Second-in-Rank Local Producers of Megarian Bowls in the Aegean and Elsewhere

Abstrakt

This article discusses the local production of Megarian bowls oriented on local market, which sometimes imitated the models of the main centres, but also brought interesting new combinations of motifs and new ideas. Though only with limited exports beyond their local areas, they contributed - similarly as the coroplasts did - to innovative facets of minor Hellenistic art.
