The Ideology of Performance and Hiding of a Social Conflict in Conditions of an Individualized Society: Beck's Perspective

Abstract

The chapter deals with problems of individualization in relation to merit (achievement) connected with the (hidden) ideology of performance and social conflict. The text focuses also on an issue of competences built with the help of education and learning in a relation with a phenomenon of (new) social risks.
