In this paper, the first part of the research of expectations of the undergraduate students from the practical aspects of a preparation in a mathematics teaching for the first level of primary schools is presented. These expectations are consisted of an identification of incentives, motives and motivations of the undergraduate students for the purposes of an improvement of the approach to the mathematics teaching.
The experiences and expectations of students are investigated before and after their professional practice using the method of a questionnaire construction. The aim of the research is a change in the concept of the professional undergraduate preparation of the mathematics teaching.
The research is focused on the field of study Teaching for Primary Schools - Level 1 at Faculty of Education of University of Ostrava.
