The article addresses two possible interpretations of Marxist-Christianity dialogue. The first one maintains that the dialogue was only a period phenomenon, whereas the second one considers it to be based on similarity between Marxism and Christianity, which is demonstrated by concept of man, universalism, and dimension of future.
The second interpretation is put forward by way of the concept worked out by Czech philosopher Milan Machovec. According to him, the complementary relationship between Marxism and Christianity exists.
Marxism supplements what lacks in Christianity and vice versa.
