The issue of vulvovaginal discomfort is widely discussed in medicine. It is important to mention two basic points of view at the beginning and consequent treating procedures.
The first point of view admits and recognizes the infectious etiology only (especially yeast etiology), while the second point of view is more complex one because the etiology of these problems can be much wider. It is necessary to replace the diagnostic nihilism persisting in this issues by a constructive algorithm.
This constructive algorithm is especially important in patients suffering from chronic vulvovaginal discomfort. A natural part of an examination is the usage of methods described in this thesis.
