Abstract

The family is a place where the first social relations and interactions are formed. Every individual feels the need to be in contact with other people.

The desire to be in a group of children of the same age grows in each child even before they have reached three years of age. Children experience these first contacts in their families with their siblings and in nursery schools and kindergartens.

Joining a nursery school or kindergarten means a big change for the child and the whole family. To make it smooth, children need to be prepared to get se parated from their parents, to get used to a new environment and a group of children of the same age, to find their own identity.

How the joining and adaptation to a group of children of the same age work out, depends on the grade of socialization of the preschool child.
