Nesting possibilities and breeding success of common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) in urban landscape - the example of Prague Botič

Abstract

As a part of the study of Hadravová (2016), the nesting possibilities and occupied nests of common kingfisher were monitored during the nesting season from late March to September 2015. Eleven occupied nest chambers and another 29 nesting possibilities were found on the Botič stream during the three periods of the nesting season (March - April, May - June, July - August).
