The anthology "Looking for a Common World : Reflections on Philosophy and the Changes of Knowledge" presents a selection of less known or less accessible texts written by the Czech philosopher and biologist Zdeněk Neubauer (1942-2016), covering a long time period from the middle of the seventies up to the beginning of the twenty-first century. The early texts are influenced by the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur.
These essays have a phenomenological imprint. Later, after the time of the Velvet Revolution, the author focuses on relation between science and knowledge and current changes in epistemology and society.
As the time passes Neubauer's life and work is more connected with the problem of the formation of organic shape, known as i.e. eidetic biology.
