Academic language in the teaching of German within the core courses for students of humanities

Abstract

The article deals with academic communication in the german academic language within the core courses for students studying for academic degrees. It defines academic language and its usage.

It focuses on the needs and skills of students of bachelor and master studies. The article presents the author's blended learning course model for written and oral skills in the academic language and reflects the experience with this model in the Language Centre.
