The sixth annual conference of the Prague Centre for Jewish Studies FA CU focused on religious and philosophical aspects of prophecy in Judaism. The conference aimed to survey Jewish prophecy in three different periods: in ancient Israel, in rabbinic Judaism from its beginnings until the pre-modern era and in the works of medieval and modern Jewish thinkers and intellectuals.
The papers offered not only systematic overview of the phenomenon, but also explored some rarely studied motifs and proposed new interpretations of well-known texts.
