Abstract
The conference focused on two main themes: admission of two-year-olds to nursery schools and compulsory pre-school education. The conference was organized by the Department of Primary Education of PedF UK, the Association of Preschool Education and the Prague Branch of the Czech Pedagogical Society.

The first day of the conference was the main professional papers and the second day continued with discussions in the expert sections. During the conference, the results of research in the field of pre-school education and the institution of education of children under three years of age were presented.
