Contemporary Visual Art Through Art Education: Do Art Teachers Use ContemporaryVisual Art in Their Teaching Practice?

Abstract

In her doctoral research the contemporary visual artist and researcher Petra Vargova focuses on implementation of contemporary art topics into the common teaching practice of art teachers in Czech schools - in particular higher-grade elementary schools and secondary schools. Vargova investigates whether contemporary art is a solid part of the teaching curriculum.
