Abstrakt
The first English-language research-level study of the Dvořák Mass in D, including a discussion of the circumstances surrounding the early performing history and the evolution of the work through its various authorised and unauthorised versions, with an emphasis on the characteristics and history of an unjustly neglected version with organ, violoncello and double-bass accompaniment, which the author of the article is currently preparing for publication, and of which he conducted the first modern revival.
