Formalism and Marxism in Confrontation. On history of the polemic

Abstract

This edition shows a conflict between the formalistic approach to literature and the marxist one, which took place in the early 20th of the previous century in Russia. The main goal is to examine both of these methodologies, their leading arguments and the way they finally influnced each other.
