Logical space and the origins of pluralism in logic

Abstract

The plurality of logics is compared to the plurality of geometries on the background of broadly Kantian epistemology. The notion of space, be it geometrical or logical space is examined as to whether it can also be somehow changed by what it contains.

A sort of relativist account of logical space is put forward which focuses on the mutual influence between the logical practice of making inference rules explicit and the theories thereof.
