Abstract
The chapter describes the circumstances of the arrival of mathematician and astronomer Jan Kepler in Bohemia and his inclusion in the cultural circle of Emperor Rudolf II. Attention is paid to the collaboration with Tycho Brahe, which resulted in the publication Astronomia nova (1609).
This book dealt with the movement and orbit of the planet Mars.
