the review discusses the publication of the most spectacular - bronze and amber - finds from Bernsdorf, a Bronze Age hillfort in Bavaria, suggesting acording to the authors of the monograph firm links with the Mycenena world. The finds raised significant controversies; although the interpretations proposed by te monogrpah's authors are discussed with certain scepticism in the review, the significance of the finds themselves is not downplayed.
