Molecular Oncology in Case Reports

Abstract

The monograph, supplemented with color illustrations and photographs, is primarily focused on clear and concise treatment of clinical molecular oncology focusing on molecular aspects, mechanisms and diagnosis in selected case reports. Molecular oncology today has an overlap not only in diagnostics bud also in therapy, both in the field of disease prognosis, toxicity and prediction of biological treatment in oncology patients.

It is intended primarily for oncology healthcare professional as well as pathology, surgery and related disciplines. The introduction discusses the basis molecular of different oncology and explains some cellular mechanism.

In individual chapters, individual types of tumors are individually processed according to the organ location and are designed in such a way that the reader is first introduced the general problem of a specific tumor, including genetics, molecular diagnostics or targeted therapy, followed by a case report with final discussion and recommendations from the authors experience. The aim of this book is to draw attention to interesting cases in common clinical practice, which are also processed at the molecular level, thus facilitating decision-making, complex diagnosis or therapy.
