Abstract

The publication provides a fairly comprehensive text on methods of biofeedback - from the theoretical to applied aspects. Group of authors with extensive experience in the field of research and practice of methods of biofeedback provides insight into a broader historical and theoretical context, provides an overview of basic research and the effectiveness of biofeedback methods and discusses also their limits.

Attention is also paid to issues of general practice of biofeedback and conditions of practising it, Authors also describe in detail the issue of education, application and work with the client. Results of the original studies are also presented.

The publication is suitable for all those interested in the issue of biofeedback, but also more broadly in neurophysiology and psychophysiology. The publication is the first on the topic Czech Republic.
