Promises of Cooperation : Romani Activists in Communist Czechoslovakia - Brno Case Study

Abstrakt

Lecture on the history of the Romani ethoemacipation movement in communist Czechoslovakia (1969-1973), highlighting the effect of the involvement of Romani activites in the negotiation of regional and central policies aimed at "citizens of Gypsy origin" in early 1950's and reclefting on the transformation of the relationship of the Romani activits to the Czechoslovak Communist Party between early 1950's and late 1970's.
