In this paper there's a comparison of Czech writer Milan Kundera's and Lithuanian Ričardas Gavelis's novels. Even if the appearance of both works are differentiated by twenty one and despite not being directly influenced, there are still interesting similarities.
Although are of different age and nationalities, however their works are binded by many traits - both novelist chooses deliberate intellectual genres, in which they don't dismiss philosophical and aesthetical speech. This paper's objectives are Ričardas Gavelis's "Vilnius Jazz" and Milan Kundera's "The Farewell Walz".
