Abstract
In the work of Božena Němcová writings with Slovak themes take a significant place. Among other aspects they represent an individual reflection of Slovak lexicon and a Slovak-Czech lexical confrontation.
The article focuses on the the lexicographical work of Božena Němcová Slovenský slovník (Slovak dictionary) and shows the possibilities of comparing the occurrence of particular Slovak words in the literary texts of Božena Němcová and her lexicographical work.
